From earliest days of the Church, remembering the poor was understood to be one of the most tangible was of bringing the love of Christ to the world.
Like most Christian communities, we continue to struggle with what it means to love Christ in the poor and needy. We help with running CIRDIC in Reading, which operates in one of our Church halls. In the winter months we also help by sheltering the homeless with the "Bed for a Night" programme. Let us know if you'd like to help! |
